Our Journey
Debra and Damian have been working together for 35 years. They formed a business partnership in 1987 in Alice Springs working in the residential and commercial construction sectors, building new homes, additions and renovation works, and light industrial projects. Prior to this period Damian worked as a construction supervisor for a large building company specialising in new homes. In 1994 they became a Company, “MacKenzie Homes” which saw their business grow further.
In 1998 to be closer to their family they made the move back to South Australia and continued building , this saw their Company expand to become “MacKenzie Homes & Commercial “ undertaking Architectural Custom Built Homes and Commercial projects including local and state government contracts in Clare and throughout the mid north and surrounding areas.
MacKenzie Homes and Commercial undertake construction projects throughout the Mid North specialising in custom built homes, additions, renovations and commercial and industrial works. MacKenzie Homes are experienced in all types of building materials and systems including brick, stone, corrugated iron cladding, acrylic and cement rendered systems, as well as the more unusual materials such as rammed earth, plywood, Hebel and other cladding systems.
The Company is also an accredited ‘GreenSmart’ Builder having fulfilled the requirements for the Housing Industry.
